Jagannath Rath Yatra will be held in June this year. According to the traditional Oriya calendar, Shukla bird day is celebrated on the second day, Ashad month festival.
The wooden idols of three gods were taken from Jagannath temple to Gundicha temple every year. The distance between the two temples is only 3 kilometers, but the full enthusiasm of tourists and devotees associated with the moon and drum takes several hours. For the next nine days, devotees may seek blessings from the Lord and the Gods. During the journey, the temple of Bahuda mother of the Bahuda will put a stop to the temple. Here the god Poda Pitha is served a sweet pancake. It is believed that this pancake is the food of the poor and the Lord enjoys it.
